Over the years, Silver Road Community Centre has had many makeovers. We’ve removed the carpet and found the amazing original flooring, which we decided to keep and have sanded and varnished. The above photos show what it looks like now. The rooms has also been repainted silver, had a new carpet in the food bank storage room, added automatic blind and fitted extractor fans, so that you are cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
The kitchen, which was in the food bank area, was removed and placed in the current space and was refurbished.
For the outside of the Silver Road Community Centre, we had the doors repainted to a silver, installed over door signs to welcome people, installed a white notice board to keep people updated with events and had a revamp of the front and back garden.
We hope to add a green house in the back garden, working with Norwich in Bloom, to grow items for the community fridge.
